Today's Agent Skill: Vendor Onboarding Checklist Generator
What It Does
Bringing on a new vendor or supplier without a structured process leads to missing contracts, unclear payment terms, no access controls, and miscommunication that surfaces at the worst possible moment. A proper vendor onboarding checklist takes less than an hour to work through but protects you legally, financially, and operationally for the life of the relationship. This skill generates a complete, tailored onboarding checklist for any type of vendor or service provider.
How It Works
The agent takes the vendor type (materials supplier, software provider, contractor, cleaning service, etc.) and a few context details (whether they access your premises, systems, or customer data). It generates a step-by-step onboarding checklist organized across legal, financial, operational, and systems access sections—with a designated owner for each item and a built-in 30-day review step.
How to Deploy It
Describe the new vendor and their role in Claude Code, Gemini CLI, Cursor, or Windsurf and run this skill. You'll receive a complete, print-ready onboarding checklist in about 30 seconds. Assign owners to each item before your first meeting with the new vendor.
